Is trying to sell a recalled food product illegal – Hell, yes!

Setting aside that it is stupid to try and sell (at an outrageous mark-up) a recalled product that was known to be contaminated with Salmonella , the answer is that it is illegal as viewed from the FDA and is against eBay’s own policies. Illnesses started on dates ranging from January 4, 2017 to April 18, 2017.

Almark Foods and the FDA need to explain why positive product tests and illnesses in 2017 did not stop positive product tests and illnesses in 2019. Listeria specimens from ill people were collected from April 10, 2017, to November 12, 2019. Of six ill people with information available, four hospitalizations have been reported.
