FSAI airs frustration at food safety law breaches

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) has voiced frustration at what it called “repeated, similar and fundamental” breaches of food law. 92 enforcement orders were served on businesses for violating food safety legislation in 2023, up from the 77 reported in 2022. Six prosecutions were taken.

Marler Clark hired in local IHOP Salmonella Outbreak

The illnesses occurred between October 23 and December 23, 2023, and two people required hospitalization. All three individuals ate a variety of breakfast foods at the Bellevue IHOP, but no specific food item has been identified as the source of the outbreak. No deaths were reported. This investigation is now completed.
