As of 2020, the Administration for Community Living (ACL) reported that older adults (people who are 65+ years old) made up 17% of the population. By 2040, that number will increase to 22% – around 4x higher than numbers seen at the turn of the 20th century. The senior population is only growing and diversifying more with each year.
