Bean sprouts recalled after testing finds Listeria

Chang Farm of Whatley, MA is recalling 12 oz Nature’s Wonder Mung Bean Sprouts, with a sell-by date of Dec. 13, 2023, because of the presence of Listeria monocytogenes. The recall was initiated after a random sample was collected and analyzed by the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (VDACS), which resulted in confirmation of Listeria monocytogenes in the product.

An outbreak of Salmonella has ended in Norway without officials finding the source. An investigation into the outbreak of Salmonella Napoli has been completed as no cases have been detected since the end of September. The Norwegian Institute of Public Health (FHI) had reported seven outbreak cases. People became ill from late August to the end of September 2023.
